Part one
The structure of the yard. These get built first because everything else has to sit on or inside them.
Excavation and a compacted base first, then the pattern, the charcoal border band and the edge restraint that keeps it all from creeping. Fire-pit circles and stacked-stone seat walls are part of the same run.

Footing, base course and drainage behind the wall before a single cap goes on. Segmental block or dry-stacked basalt, stepped into terraces where the slope asks for it.
